The local Central Office of Alcoholics Anonymous is supported by numerous volunteers to help ensure the message of A.A. is readily available. The Accessibility committee is organized mostly as a means if someone is not able to attend normal AA meetings that potentially AA meetings can be brought to them by other AA members. The most common situation if someone has recently had surgery that prohibits them from driving or being shuttled to a public AA meeting.
Additionally, with limited to no resources, the committee does try and find solutions to people that are deaf or blind to receive the AA message. Lastly, the committee reaches out to publicly listed AA meetings to determine and articulate if the meeting is handicapped accessible.
