Bridging the Gap is a temporary contact program intended to assist those leaving a treatment or correctional facility to transition more comfortably to the fellowship of A.A.
As a Bridging the Gap Volunteer, you will be a temporary contact who is willing to introduce the new person to their local A.A. community. Most of us have found our home groups are the best possible place for a new member of A.A. to find sobriety.
As a volunteer, your information will be kept strictly confidential. The Bridging the Gap coordinator will call you and give you the new members information so that you can, in turn, contact the new member.
It is highly recommended you review the new A.A. approved pamphlet on the Bridging the Gap program and also attend one of the Hospitals and Institutions committee meeting held the 3rd Tuesday evening of every month at the Central Office.
Thank you in advance for your service.
